I've seen all of the Twitter, FB, and blog posts shouting out to the world how fabulous Pinterest is. I didn't know what it meant. I didn't have time to find out. I didn't care to become addicted to yet another form of social media.
I have a house to straighten up!
I have kids to feed!
A highly active toddler who seriously needs to be supervised every nanosecond of the day!
An infant who pees in her diaper on average 3x an hour and demands a new one each time.
There is a DVR to catch up on!
(Oh yes I do!!!!)
Buuut then a friend sent me a personal invitation. And I had a few minutes to spare. And I figured out how absolutely awesome it is in a matter of seconds. There I was- pinning away food ideas and future birthday party ideas and oh yea I am in. love. with. Pinterest.
And inspiration has been born! I am planning on making Alyssa her very first Halloween costume. So far I spent about $3.00 and I don't intend on spending much more to complete it. As opposed to spending around $40. And without depriving either of us any difference in cuteness between store bought and homemade. Can you smell my excitement? Have I mentioned I have NEVER made anything homemade??? Have I mentioned that I spent well over an hour in Joann Fabric deciding on two very specific items needed for the first part of this project?
Have I mentioned that there is a baby? In a swing? Who is not interested in napping even though her brother finally is?
